Classical Trance

Posted by Dudidum Nov. 21, 2007 @ 4:53 PM EST

Again I've got something new for you :)!

This time it's more an improvised thing than a fully composed song.
I like it because of that despite the errors I made while playing but since it's nearly fully improvised it's really hard to play perfectly (for me that is ;) ).
You may notice that the left hand is always just one note. I kept it simple so I can freely improvise to it and I think it worked out pretty well :). (In fact most of my left hand parts are simple^^)
The whole idea just started from the intro + sustain pedal. I messed around with it and out came this:

Classical Trance

I named it Classical Trance because I thought that this is how a Trance song might sound on an classic instrument like the piano.

If you liked it just leave a review ;).

New songs out

Posted by Dudidum Nov. 9, 2007 @ 12:13 PM EST

Yo!

I released my newest work!

A new powerful song in full length:

On The Run

A short loop like a winning fanfare, which is just a funny idea ;)

Won Battle

Have fun with hearing it!

It's another fine piece and I think you're gonna like it.
I'll release it in the next few weeks :) and I'll put a message here when I'm done so keep watching the news ;).

My Piano

Posted by Dudidum Jul. 31, 2007 @ 4:05 PM EDT

Just in case you wonder on what kind of piano I'm playing.

Getting information about it was very difficult because of it's age.

Here are some facts:

It's an upright Karl Hamburger piano which was originally built between
1880 and 1900.
It's significantly taller than today's standard pianos which results in a richer sound similar to the grand pianos. The strings are fixed on a heavy iron framework and are strung crossways.

It was repaired and restored by my mother's grandfather as it was a present for my mother.
It's been tuned in 2007.

The Piano would need a lot of repair and replace work to get it's orignial, brilliant sound back but that's way too expensive for how often it's used ;).
